The Misen Oven steel was designed to allow several different configurations in your oven. There are also a few different modular configurations that we recommend, depending on your cooking preferences. To get the most out of your Oven Steel, visit the Oven Steel Use & Care Page.
The Misen Oven Steel takes advantage of steel’s high thermal mass, and ore thermal mass means more time for your oven to come up to temperature. We recommend giving your oven an additional 10 minutes of pre-heat time when using one steel, 15 minutes when using two, and 20 minutes when using four as it may take longer to regulate the internal temperature of your oven, but heating should be more consistent in the long run.
