All nonstick pans have some form of primer to help the nonstick coating adhere to the surface of the pan. This primer layer is a crucial element in making long-lasting nonstick pans. Most manufacturers use a traditional 'grit blasting' process to help nonstick coatings adhere to their pans, but for the Misen Nonstick Pan we wanted a more durable solution. 

Infused with titanium, the Plasma Primer Layer is 2.5 times more effective at keeping the nonstick coating on our pans, and extends the hardness and abrasion resistance of nonstick coatings.
